The State Tretyakov Gallery

The State Tretyakov Gallery is the national treasury of Russian fine art and one of the greatest museums in the world.

The Gallery's collection consists entirely of Russian art and artists who have made а contribution to the history of Russian art or been closely connected with it. The collection contains more than 130 000 works of painting, sculpture and graphics, created throughout the centuries by successive generations of Russian artists.

The Russian Museum

The Russian Museum today is a unique depository of artistic treasures, a leading restoration center, an authoritative institute of academic research, a major educational center and the nucleus of a network of national museums of art.

The Russian Museum contains circa 400.000 exhibits. The permanent exhibition of the Russian Museum traces the entire history of Russian art from the tenth to the twentieth centuries. The museum collection embraces all forms, genres, schools and movements of art.

The State Hermitage

The State Hermitage occupies six magnificent buildings situated along the embankment of the River Neva, right in the heart of St Petersburg.

This ensemble, formed in the 18th and 19th centuries, is extended by the eastern wing of the General Staff building, the Menshikov Palace and the recently constructed Repository.

Put together throughout two centuries and a half, the Hermitage collections of works of art (over 3,000,000 items) present the development of the world culture and art from the Stone Age to the 20th century.

The State Museum of the East

It was founded 30 October 1918 and now one of the largest cultural and enlightening centers, where represented Far East and also Middle Asia, Caucasus, Kazakstan, Buryatia, Chykotka (more than 16000 ). By the Presidents edict the museum had been ranked among the objects of cultural heritage of Russia.

Nicholas Roerich Museum New York

It is the largest and oldest centre in the world, wherere represented painting of N.K. Roerich and distributed the art print copies and numerous books about his life and creative works. The main museum task is in the spreading of Roerichs ideas about culture and art.

The Publishing House Agni

The Publishing House Agni is the largest producer of art prints at the Russian territory. The beginning of his activity related to the late 80s of the last century and it has existed in its present form since 1997. It consists of more than 10 main departments with the different way of acting, every of them makes its contribution to the common cultural and enlightening activity the main aim of which is to make masterpieces of the would cultural heritage accessible to everyone.
