The early work of Levitan as if is written by water colour paints. The breakup rainy clouds which are pouring out the sprays of Volga, finest overflowes of miscellaneous tints of a grey palate, wet and juicy, as if is drunk by dampness paint, which one are registered scrubs, water and wet houses, - all this extreme authentic nature pierced by composite experiences. This condition the artist adequately expresses by painting. There is no essential distinction in, whether this condition by a weather or the state of health of the man was given to natural motive.
