Goriushkin-Sorokopudov Ivan

Ãîðþøêèí-Ñîðîêîïóäîâ Èâàí Gorjushkin-Sorokopudov Ivan Silych (1873-1954)
Gorjushkin-Sorokopudov was born in village Nashchi of the Tambov province, in the family of the barge hauler Sily Gorushlikin. Early having remained without parents, he has been given for education in Saratov where lived his distant relatives - petty bourgeoises Sorokopudovy – that’s why he has a double surname. All his "Universities" Ivan had passed " in people " - at Kuzmin's merchant, " the boy at buffet " by the Volga steamships.
Gorushkin’s formation as the artist has happened in the end XIX - the beginning of XX centuries when the searching of any new forms of expressive and graphic language in the fine arts, the literature, music, theatre were conducted. And Ivan Silych has not remained away from these searches. However the fundamental principle of his creative credo was made with realistic traditions of mobile art. He has got acquainted with them at P.A.Vlasov’s Astrakhan drawing school and then in the Art Academy, in masterful of I.E.Repin. Repin’s talent influence has affected in the accuracy and constructability of figure, plastic expressiveness of the form, in predilection for a portrait and a plot-thematic composition.
