Alexey Gritsay (1914-1998)
is a Russian painter, a landscape painter. He studied in the studio of the artist S.M. Zaidenberg in Leningrad (1930-1932) and then he attended the Academy of Applied Arts (1932-1939). Gritsay is a successor of the Russian lyrical landscape traditions of the end of the 19th century and a beginning of the 20th; he painted mainly the landscapes situated near Moscow.
