Vlaminck Maurice (1876-1956) - French artist.
He seriously addressed to painting only in 1899. The self-educated person, he was proud of that never studying either in Academy, nor in workshop, even in a museum. In 1904 one of his pictures for the first time has been presented to general public. The first personal exhibition was in Vollar’s gallery in 1907. Vlaminck’s art, restless and instinctive, is marked direct and passionate love to the nature.
