Boucher Francois (1703-1770) - French artist.
His first lessons of colouring he was given by F. Lemuan. In 1726-1731 he visited Italy. All these years were completely devoted to figure, copying and engraving which was given easiness to its talent. During all life he did not cease his illustration work. An election to the Academy (1734) opened for Bush a long official career of the professor (1737), director of the Academy and "the premier king’s artist" (1765). Numerous works for theatre and operas have provided to it glory of the largest stage designer of all times. Since 1739 he used basically gallant and allegorical plots. In the hymn to female beauty a new canon of juicy charm has been created by him. Bush was the landscape writer with a lot of imagination. Its creativity personifies encyclopedic spirit of an epoch.
